I trust my father and this is what he said was a commonplace meal in the 1980's.

Also, milk because its a nice play on words.

There is scene in the movie Milk where Scott has Harvey sit down and enjoy a meal he has made after a particularly chaotic meeting. I imagine this is something that he would serve.
